Bags for the People
Bags for the People is an organization that works with the public to create reusable tote bags from recycled fabrics. Starting out of Union Sq Farmer's Market, and frustrated with the rampant use of plastic bags, Glenn Robinson dragged out his machine and made bags for the people.
By partnering with organizations like Textile Arts Center, Bags for the People is able to give free workshops equipped with sewing machines, fabric, beverages, and new friends.
Mood Fabrics has agreed to donate fabric to Bags for the People for these events! Should make it that much better...
This will be an ongoing workshop at Textile Arts Center:
Thurs, July 22 - 6-9PM
Friday, Aug 20 - 6-9PM
Friday, Sept 10 - 8-11PM (FASHION'S NIGHT OUT)
Firday, Oct 29 - 6-9PM (HALLOWEEN SPECIAL)
