About the Day Camp

Our Summer Day Camp is a great way for your children to spend a week or more during July and August! In 2012, we will host two camps: Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Through daily exposure to textile media, kids explore new avenues of creativity, improve dexterity, and make new friends, while learning about historical and contemporary uses of the fiber arts.

Curious? Join us for one of our Free Open Houses!

Manhattan - January 20, 3:30-6PM   RSVP
Brooklyn - February 10, 3:30-6PM   RSVP

Class options

At registration, your child can choose between:

Weaving
In our weaving class students learn the basics of using a 4-harness loom, and the core principles of weaving and pattern reading while creating fabric of their own to be made into products such as bags and toys.

Surface Design
Students will learn the basics of surface design through printing, dyeing, felting, sewing, drawing and design. Students explore stencils, block printing, and photo emulsion processes, as well as about resist and immersion dyeing with both natural + synthetic dyes.

Each weekly session is $475, including materials + fees.
