What is Oak Knit Studio?
Oak Knit Studio is a learning and making space in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
Our focus is knitting, but our conversations revolve around all textile arts. We've got a beautiful gallery, a classroom, and a research library. We are also honored to house the Textile Arts Center's Artist-in-Residence program, made up of a rotating group of six fiber artists, each with unique skills in the fiber arts.
Together OKS + TAC have created an unprecedented program for artists, designers, and hobbyists, that expand their minds and work, while in a creative environment that fosters critical dialogue. |
